Skate Canada Test Days
The private coach prepares the skater for the test days.
A Test Day notice is posted six weeks prior to the Test Day. The coach will either submit a
list of skaters and their tests to the office, or will give the skater a test envelope to
turn in to the office by the Test Due Date. The skater then has 2 weeks until the
"Pull/Payment Due Date" to make a final decision to either take the test and make payment,
or notify the office to remove or "pull" the test from the test list. All tests remaining on
the list must be paid in full, by the skater, by the Pull/Payment due date, otherwise the
test will be removed from the list and the skater will not be allowed to take the test.
Test Fees are set by Skate Canada
Hospitality Fees are set by the club. High test days are shared so fees may
vary by Host club (NTSC, Leaside, Forest Hill)
Note: The hospitality fees are used to provide a hot meal and a small gift for the judges
who volunteer their time.
During the 2009-2010 fall and winter season North Toronto Skating Club
will host four test days. Our skaters will also be attending
one high test day at Leaside Skating Club and one high test day
at Forest Hill Figure Skating Club.
Usually, the Test Day begins at 9:00 a.m. and is usually finished by
4:00 p.m. However, depending on the number of tests, the Test
Day could run into the evening possibly cancelling
some group sessions. Depending on the numbers, the Test Day will be completed earlier then 4:00 p.m.
